Precious Life
She sometimes thinks
Of her good fortune
She’s been lucky
She’s been blessed
Still were she alone
Come flood or fire
She’d be happy to escape
With nothing more
Than her five little kittens
Bundled tightly in her arms
Knowing what’s most precious
Is the miracle of life itself
