So terribly sad; the country never fully recovered. We truly never will. Thanks for the great memory!

You're right: JFK's assassination was the 'Loss of Innocence' moment for this country. Or at least it sure seemed that way. :) gw

I'm sure that will always be a day to remember Gershon, so devastatingly sad that his life was snuffed out of him in his prime and at the zenith of his career. A great write. Well penned. Blessings, Jennifer.

GW~ I got to see him speak at the Chicago Convention. And he was barely known at the time. I saw him once at OHare or Midway. Riding on the back of a convertible. He was beyond handsome. I have shaken hands with other Presidents and Vice Presidents.. My daughter also~ that propelled her into political life. Great thrill when you kid is elected! Panagiota Good you shook hands!

Appreciate your enthusiastic response to this little ditty about JFK. There was just something electric about him. Still is, after all these years. Bobby too. Thanks! :) gw

My dad honked his car horn just in time for JFK to wave!

It would have been interesting to see what his brother would have done as President. Have a great day my friend.

You are so right, David. I remember how utterly disgusted I was that Bobby was killed by that worthless Sirhan-Sirhan. I think that Bobby really had his finger on the pulse of America -- he was so beloved -- and a great President he might have been. Pity. Thanks 4 the insight ~ gw
