Precious - My Cat
There is something I could dwell on,
that - I won't deny!
I love Precious, very much
let me pause to tell you why.
When I slip into my easy chair
at night to watch T.V..
She drapes herself beside me,
her pillow is my knee.
Her purring's slightly muffled,
she's feeling so serene.
She doesn't try to stay awake,
it's such a peacefull scene!
Her feet are hanging off the edge,
but she doesn't seem to care.
It makes me feel contented,
to have her lying there!
