Prayer For the Homeless

Our footsteps hasten us to this: the warmth of hearth, the welcome kiss. For those less fortunate I pray a home sweet home they'll find one day. Posted 10/9/2020 Submitted Dec. 5, 2021 for Line Gauthier's Bite Size Poem No29 Poetry Contest

Hi Andrea - It was good to read this and also your original poem from which this stanza was taken. The words from "A Home Sweet Home" that 'hit home' and helped light up this great piece for me were: "a peaceful place where we dismiss all things in life that are amiss" We humans take so much for granted in life sometimes. Cheers - Gary

I love this one, Andrea, and it is about something very close to my heart ... this contest was a tough one to judge, for there were SO many great ones I had to cut, (and stiff competition, as you can see) - congratulations, and thanks for taking the time to enter my Rithimus Divisa 9 contest, Buddy! Blessings! :o) <3
