Prayer Before Sleeping
As the day closes in, I thank You, Lord
For new tidings which sweetened my heart ,
Like morning’s rich daybreak; a few trials
When noises of doubt changed into quietude
Reminding me all the love, light bestowed;
Upon my family, my kin in this world,
And even through budding of fresh roses.
Somehow, I linger now to feel your presence
Rays caressing all my tiredness,
As holy grace drifts within my being
Like the ways of Your unseen hands,
Flowing around and ever towards me...
That I stand in humility, in renewed faith,
Giving praise unto this moment created
Just for me. For all of these blessings,
I give you all that I am through Your mercy.
And so it is, dearest God. Amen.
