Portrait of the Poet
The portrait stood end to end
Hung with a mindful countenance,
Its image spoke of human substance
Emanating from its embedded virtue
The birth, the death, the family
The lifelong friendships, the joy and tragedies
In the eye of its muse it manifested completely
This sterling moment at hand, when all truth blended
The epiphany of the tale was given, defined and judged
His image rendering his face within..........the mirror in front of him
