Portrait In Words
Green eyes lined with wisdom love and now mirth
Hair the colour of snow, facially rife
A heart so warm and gentle from his birth
Love he did miss, he lived a busy life
A hat upon his head is ever there
In love he never did think he would fall
His temperament, now cool to be fair
His height is not short, and his spirit tall
In words he is gracious, clever and kind
In his heart love, and it’s full to the brim
His poetry gives us clues to his mind
In thoughts and deeds there is none to touch him
His looks at one with such calm compassion
A beautiful face after a fashion.
