Beautiful imagery, Sara. May your Thanksgiving have been filled with joy and abundance. Alas, the eradication of all negativity remains an elusive aspiration, for the dichotomy of adversity and prosperity is an inexorable facet of existence. The sphere of politics, in particular, descends into a tumultuous abyss, shattering the very bedrock of idealism.

dearest Sotto--we had a cozy Thanksgiving, just hubby & I...family activities galore Friday/Saturday. I agree. In my heart of hearts I feel that adversity and prosperity will always exist. I believe a host of dichotomies are part of the human condition. Politics and lust for power are some of the worst. Perhaps idealism dwells in the heart and not externally?? I ramble. I agree...I don't discuss politics with friends...sorry you had a negative experience on another site. That's unfortunate. I actually had someone 'unfriend' me on FB because of a soft political statement. We'd been friends for 15 years. I was shocked! Sigh. Enjoy your evening, Sara
