Poetry doesn't always come to me tiptoeing in a veil of imaginatiion,
or raging like a turbulent storm!!!
It does emerge when waking up, I gaze at the enchanting vermilion sky
at dawn, majestic sun rising in the horizon.
It does when gorgeous sunflowers in my garden bloom flaunting their
mesmerizing golden petals,
My heart leaps and flutters like a butterfly enraptured with colours.
It does when a murmuring river croons a tale of passionate wild love,
splashing the pebbles with tender kisses!
But,
When I find, on a wintry freezing morning,
a forlorn musician playing violin on my way to the subway,
to earn a few pennies for mere sustenance,
When I find a single mother desperately taking care of a child
with a disability...her arms are fatigued, her legs are aching...
When I spot a lonely elderly, eating canned Tuna on a joyful festive day….
he has forgotten how fresh food tastes,
Poetry escapes … words elude me!
