Poetically Counting To 10
It would be good if I could mark the difference
Of when I do and don't bottle things up
Keeping things enclosed, tightly capped
Certainly has more peaceful outcomes
In the short term
I've just agreed to something that doesn't please me
I can feel the presence of the message in a bottle
Will it cross the oceans, biding it's time
To be revealed in all its glory with fanfare
Or will the elements seep in, the message erase
Maybe it'll end up on a distant shore, with the recipient baffled
For now I'm sat trying to suffocate my real view into evaporating
But my limited knowledge of science tells me that's not how evaporation works
This is a test case then
Science lesson: high explosives don't require external oxygen
Science lesson class question: "What would the damage be if it were in the middle of the ocean when it explodes?"
Ok... Sitting quietly a moment worked
I've just had word there'll be a change of plan
And nobody knows how differently it might have played out
