Poetic Podcast Episode 22

Maybe I’m too sober, I remember what you said last night; Maybe I’m too sober the anger in your eyes is still flashing, if I pause and close my eyes; Maybe I’m too sober, that rerun is something I’d like to forget; Maybe I’m too sober to simply let it roll right off my back, you already pierced my spirit; Maybe I’m too sober, because I’ve hit my breaking point; Maybe I’m too sober, it wasn’t fire, funny, or fun; I never quite caught the punchline; Maybe I’m too sober, I can’t fumble my vocabulary to meet your self destruction; Maybe I’m too sober to quell all the condemnation; You argue my reality with a fiction that you can’t recall; Maybe I’m too sober; I have no social nor mental lubricant, maybe I’m too sober.
