Poems I'Ve Written Never Meaning To Send

In the mid-night hour
So many poems lay dominant!
Words glued together yet
Floating around as light as a feather!
Since the weather in my life will always change
I arrange these poems to be read during the darkest night

Writing a poem
Hidden with a damage rhyme
Knowing that life will forever
Echo a flame that speaks from the heart

Poems that I wrote
Never meant to be sent
But in reality there is a Word for every situation!

I have many poems tucked away, that have never been posted. Sometimes, writing those emotions (without sharing) is what the heart needs. Of course, when the time is right, certain poems stored in a corner, are brought to the light. This is a wonderful poem, Mark. It belongs in the spotlight, and in my favorites. Congratulations my dear friend, on Poem of the Day. :) Brandy

Congratulations Mark on POTD! Romance is tough, you can't just take it back once it's out there, "I can't believe I said that" will haunt you! But, it's better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all. Push send! ;)

Mark, your title reminded me of a line from The Moody Blues' classic song 'Nights In White Satin'..."letters I've written, never meaning to send.." Congratulations on your POTD Cheers - Gary

Congratulations, Mark, on your POTD honour. Well, poems are really the spontaneous expression of our soul - "to be read during the darkness night", not meant to be sent, or formatted or posted for contests. Really enjoyed your poem which "Echo a flame that speaks from the heart". BW ~ Mala

Well weather intended or not Mark, your thoughts on putting poems together in the darkness of night, is now Poem Of The (Day) that could well be an oxymoron, so guess there is a word for every situation, a big congratulations, cheers David
