Please, Just Look At Me
Turn around;
Look at me.
You'll see my heart outstretched for you.
You'll see my tears as they fall,
Silently begging you to come back to me;
Pleading with you to stay;
Apologising
Turn around,
For just one second,
And smile at me,
So that I know that you might still love me.
So that I know that you'll forgive me one day,
For all of my transgressions,
For being too much;
For loving you wrong.
Turn around
And come back to me.
Let me soothe you with my hands,
My heart,
My lips;
Let me whisper softly in your ear
And calm you to sleep as I brush the tears from your cheeks.
Let me love you the only way that I know how-
In silence.
