Please Get Back Your Inner Kindness

Life goes by extremely fast And I don't want an overcast Of your cloudy attitude With your mean and stormy mood Making my days rainy blue With no clearing cause of you I want days full of good cheer And happy smiles everywhere Despair is ruining my day Just get up and walk away And don't come back until you can Heed my words and understand There's enough sad, hurt and bad On the news and in the paper So reel in and try to taper The evil that's causing this An angel will have to switch The anger flowing in your veins Making you cause so much pain To yourself and caring friends Wishing that you would just send The man with the horns and tail Away in a boat to sail From your soul and closed up heart So you can once again start To live happily and free Open up your eyes and see I'm not trying to be rough It's just a tough form of love To make you see once and for all Your going to break and fall Harder than you've ever been Losing family and good friends That you locked out long ago Let us in and we will show You the way back to the start When you cared and loved a lot

Andrea is right: anger gets us nowhere and I wish it was a lesson I could learn and work against, but I admit I have anger issues and a penchant for arguing...all character defects in me that I deplore. Thanks for sharing, Sweet Pea! :)

I like the positive message that you send in this poem. We have enough problems in our lives without everyone arguing over nothing. Great work, as usual, Robin! Keep it up!

You tell 'em girl. If they don't listen then your hands are clean. Good job!
