Playing in the silence
of a freshly fallen snow
welcoming the lightness
that comes from letting go
Playing in the lacy flakes
drifting through the air
smiling in each whispered breath
with a music that fills the soul
Playing in the crisp teasing
of lovely, laughing gentleness
caressing the naked limbs
with love that gives so freely
Playing in the shadows of light
rising around the coating of joy
that covers the land in a hue
of frosty, silver glory
Playing in the lavender lure
of a tantalizing and brilliant truth
awakening the sound of beauty
reaching across senses so restful
Playing in the light of a moment
when life hovers near the passions
of vibrant, radiant rainbow
across a sky of azure heavens
Playing in the soft rays of hope
drifting in filigree details
with kind sighs of love and faith
to reassure us all of God’s grace
