~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pride picked her up, then threw her down As humility made not one sound, Before she found her way up from the ground, Meekness would cry out to her, With a voice, soft and gentle, remembering Because of Him, she’d been lifted up, Put far above the shadows that troubled her, Placed in the center of His palm, Where hurts and grief were like a song, Hummed from the soul, where love is never wrong… Love is never wrong! His song, His timeless song… Repent of the sin – let the pride be wrong, Let the love sing on, let the light shine on… Sing on, sing on!
I appreciate the frankness at the beginning of the poem...ah, pride--it can be anyone's downfall. What I liked most was the hope and healing nature of your poem. I especially liked "Placed in the center of His palm, Where hurts and grief were like a song, Hummed from the soul, where love is never wrong…" Another exquisite, flowing and inspirational poem. Have a splendid weekend, Gina. hugs, Sara
He is always our hope. What others do to heal, I have no idea. God bless you, Gina!
