Piece of Peace
Piece of Peace
My heart is peaceful now.
Ceased the raking and clawing, trying to escape my breast.
It has finally found its home.
Found, but never lost, its place on earth,
The red vessel wandered to find what it thought was lost
But never really was at all.
To search the rooms and chambers of the world of knows,
To learn through pain and conflict great and small
That what leads your life is not what you think but how you feel.
Too connected to disconnect.
My read head lead and the other did follow.
Back to front I walked for a score and four
Then turned upside down by my heart once more
So I sit with my grass and it tickles and itches
The memories soften but not without twitches
From now until I meet the ground
I will not walk backwards again
I have a piece of peace that grows now without nurture.
