Pie Jesu

Let serene tranquility transport me
     To my highest poetic aspirations.
Let me feel the thrill, the chill, the bliss
     When this exquisite operatic song
Encompasses my entire body.
Let the musical magic sustain in
Echoes of reflective contemplation.

When this music fills my yearning soul
     With Angelic reverberations...
A crescendo of divine harmonies is
     Showered in auditory pleasures
Tending to leave me a bit breathless
In awe of hearing heavenly sounds,
Making my heart reel in rhapsodies.

Pie Jesu inspired and performed by Forte, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber
Pie Jesus is Latin for Merciful Jesus

This is gorgeous Connie. Your words fit so beautifully to the music. I shudder to think of a world without it. I often listen to it in other languages I have no clue as to the words or some instruments but the sounds move me all the same. Probably like poetry to me in that I don't comprehend meter etc. but I know how a poem's words make me feel. An inspiring piece, a joy to read and watch:)

Connie, your images in these lyrics are astounding, "reel in rhapsodies" "crescendo of divine harmonies". I compliment highly on these metaphors. Well written.

Just I hate opening up a can of worms that some people on this site seek to down rate or down play everything good up attempt to display. Look I know there are critics out there but positive reinforcement strengthens one’s heart. All this negativity & hate coming down is good for nothing. Like Michael Jackson’s song, “I’m looking a
