Picture This
By the bubbling brook, we stood in summer and looked.
Just for the perfect summer place for us.
Neither, seeking noise or fuss.
Alas, we found a place, and placed down our lunches and book.
Birds were tweeting, the sun was golden summer-
sweet.
The red, plaid, blanket, we laid on the glorious
fresh gas so sweet.
A bluebird joined us, we smiling two,and greeted us with a tweet!
Nothing compares to that warm, sunny, August atmosphere!
We sat down, you read EE Cummings, music to my soul.
Whilst I prepared our fresh organic lunch, which was our goal.
I smiled with joy, drinking a glass of sparkling wine.
And you read to me love poems, from my poet
divine!
