I confess to (more than) a touch of vanity and narcissism, as this poem starts---though doesn't necessarily end---with my own practice routine on the piano....Living for that applause...

P ractice I maginatively! A nticipating N ever-ending O vations.

O Gershon. How I would love to hear you play. My mother played until we moved when I turned 9 and the piano could not follow... I later realized how much I missed it terribly.

Well, thank you! ... And you don't have to worry about booking me in advance at Carnegie Hall or some such. (I had to turn them down last year a couple of times. Didn't want to embarrass any of the up-and-comers. LOL). Best wishes, Gershon

Can well-remember playing for the accolades of the audience. But at my age (74) now I play for an audience of one. Good piece, Gershon and likely not fiction. I sense you really do play the piano.

You nailed it, my friend. I really do. And I'm "half-bad"--implying, perhaps, that I'm (also) not half-bad...And, hey, have some company over and play for them. You never know what will come of it. I've found that people appreciate my/your effort. Give it a whirl!!...Thanks for checking out my site, Reason!! Best wishes, gw
