Physicality

Maybe I'll make my own paper to write upon Tearing scraps into smaller pieces Previously inked words torn and reformed Air dried and mottled There is no blank sheet We are all mushing up versions of something else Trying to take away the obvious But perhaps we should embrace it? Nothing is new, maybe not even refined But we have chances and moments Our calibration, combination, placement Might be just right for a second And that little piece is saved A figured out bit of the enormous puzzle Our fingers needed to get wet Did our eyes glaze over? Seeing beyond the blindness Filling and feeling every sensation at once For a second When we didn't blink
