Hi Gershon, Your poems are such "Brain Twisters". If a tree falls in the Forrest does it many a sound... I would say "No". If know one is around to hear it. God, would be the only one to hear it, since He is all Knowing. Thanks! Dr. G, for the Brain exercise ~ Keep them coming! Debbie

Your generosity knows no bounds, Debra. The last time someone called me 'Dr. G., I botched the operation completely. lol. I just do my best here on Poetry Soup, and am glad that you are enjoying my efforts. Stay tuned... and thank you so much!! Moonbeams and Starlight, gw

Of course there's going to be a QUIZ. I LOVE GIVING QUIZZES, esp. to folk who hate them. Then again, it's going to be a Pub Quiz, so at least there's some benefit on the side.

"Class is never done" should be etched on the entrance to every school! Well said!

Superb idea, Rico. You have my vote for President of the Philosophy Department (at wherever they still teach it... You'll probably have to take the helm at an Ivy League School like Princeton or something). :) gw

I think the inner eye penetrates where my meager lines of verse failed to reach. Thanks for your generous evaluation, Seeker. Blessings, Gershon

How very true! I always heard it "did the tree make any noise?" but I think I like your question better, my friend. Good question. Do sound waves make noise if they never reach an eardrum???? OMG, I'll lie awake thinking about this. Shame on you!!!!

Now...it seems to me that "sound" waves are actually silent until they strike the eardrum and the brain actually translates them into the sound. How's that? So, there is no noise if there is no receptor for the sound waves. Yep, I'm going crazy. However, it is likely that birds will hear it. Oh, yeah, I'm definitely losing it! Thanks, gw.

Gosh, I'd hate more than most to be the cause of a sleepless night... as I'm a survivor of sever insomnia... So, I recommend counting trees in the forest. lol. Timber! :) gw P.S. And you're right about the philosophy question. I think you're not only right, the question is better, so I've just changed mine. Thanks, gw
