FIRST PLACE

so that no one suspects they are angels.”

the pain I am feeling is hard to describe for inside me there is an emptiness I am frozen my feelings buried I am bleeding from my soul my heart has been ripped out of my chest and I cannot even cry my tears are dried up inside of me but, I want to scream scream so loud they can hear me in every country in the world I am broken, battered, tattered, shattered lost in an ocean of grief floating not caring if I sink into the waves wanting to sink to feel the coolness of the water wash over me I think that I will fold my petals and I will grieve this, then grieve some more and then, will find my courage that flame that never fades within me and let my petals open one by one I will put my face into the sun and move on but always and forevermore keep this pain as a reminder of what has been lost this day

Dear warrior poetess, constance, this made me feel so much, i can feel the pain and grief flowing throughout your well articulated lines, i love poems that evoke emotions as i read, and youv done that effortlessly and in a seamless manner!
