Pet Minichu

Big Red was a dear pet; a valued member of the family, whom I won't forget. He loved to run out our front gate; I didn't know why; fate. I cried; hit by car; sigh, died. Big Red was a dear pet; He loved to run out our front gate; died.

Admittedly, minichu is a difficult poetic format for me though yours was effortless, cheers, Alexis, Aloha!

So well written and executed, my friend. The scene comes alive--I see him running out. Sad, but true-- it happens so frequently.

Losing a beloved pet is as difficult to bear as it is to lose any loved one. Your Minuchu is very well written, Alexis.

This is soo sad... it reminds me of Margarita. She was a kitten, two weeks or so old, when she was accidently run over. My sister was especially fond of her, so my parents didn't tell her of it. When my dad was digging a pit to bury her, my sister was still calling for Margarita.

Hi Kaveesha, I'm sorry to hear about your pet cat Margarita. This is a true story about my dog, Big Red. I have a longer poem about him called Big Red. When he ran out of the front gate and got hit by a car, I cried because he was more than a pet. He was family. I appreciate that you stopped to read and leave a comment-Alexis
