Perspectives Miscellaneous
Good new,good news He said to me
'I have the power to set you free'
'Come ,along this path we'll walk',
I listened closely as He talked;
Eternal life and 'new life' within
upon Him I place my sin,
peace,wholeness and integrity
Free to become uniquely me;
Empowered to make a fresh start.
Placed as a son,I became a part,
co-heir within His kingdom life
no more to struggle with inner strife.
Good news,so true a message clear
I turned back to God,and banished fear.
Be
in
nature's
paradise-
a living chaos,
harmony without symmetry
words like window panes
crystal clear,never opaque-
penned for heavens' sake
essential stepping stones in the stream of self-knowledge
FULL CIRCLE
Childish eyes all bright and new,
all encompassing,alive,
unending days,years ahead,
sleep comes easy in our bed;
Taut skin,strength of vibrant youth,
old age remote and unthought,
the future is tomorrow;
Our seed into another
soon springs forth and generates
rings to the family tree,
pa to granpa,comes to be;
Then at this one step removed
we step aside and observe,
reflect,look back,not ahead..
sleep,less easy,in our bed.
UNSEEN PILLARS
Love knows no boundaries within its heart,
once given in intimacy,cannot cede
an inch of territory to depart
the mutual promise, bound close by deed;
Love in its passion,holds all things clear
yet lays wide open,giving its all
and lives its life ,trusting without fear
a loyalty innate,of instinct's call;
With faithfulness it lays foundations sure
against all tribulation and heartbreak,
death's tempest certain storm,it can endure,
held by unseen pillars that cannot shake;
With neither rule,nor scale can we measure
the height,depth,breadth of this priceless treasure
OUT OF THE BOX
The end may become a beginning,
to go away can be to arrive,
life,as nature has its seasons,
sometimes short but oftimes long;
To sense the aroma of change,
to experiment a new attire,
walking without a map,
looking forward,neverback;
The past,as yesterday,will ever be
remembered,blessed,but filed away,
a stage,a stepping stone
a springboard to another day.
Today is done,tomorrow will be
a future adventure,rests with thee.
long parting kiss-
imprinted upon my lips
her lingering heat
old,neglected,careworn..but still swinging
An
opal
milky way-
footprint in the
night
A
symbol
in the sky-
pathway to a
king.
Beach so crowded today
Everyman and his wife are here
And no place to play
Cricket will be out I fear;
Hope the sun will come out
Brolly is at the ready
Look one or two are about
As it's raining rather steady;
Now is that a lightning flash
Keep calm,must not cry,
Earth and heavens seem to crash
Thunder echos in the sky;
Bathers,now in ones and twos
Into the ebbing flow
Now perhaps time for me to choose,
Get ready to have a go;
Or stay here,read and snooze
Alone
he sat thinking
of this
of that
whys and
wherefores-
His yesterdays
faded now
but alive
as today's
newspaper-
His tomorrows
yet to be
veiled,unknown
waiting
the thrill
expectation
of the new
experiences
change
the same again
but
different
AUTUMN GOLD
crumbling deadwood in composting leaves,
retirement brings a life of ease
tears flood my cheek
I whisper au-revoir-
winter clouds my soul
AN ANACROSTIC VERSE
some poetic forms can read sO
either,front or backwarD
will make an odE
anacrostic- an acrostic where last instead for first letter
of each line forms a word or phrase
If ever, words fall on deaf ears
If ever, face is washed with tears
If ever, voice is expressing fears
Ever,this be our choice, in EARS,FACE,MOUTH as Satan nears-
hear Jesus voice
after George Herbert
worthy workshop of words
veritable vocabulary of verse-
syllable songs,short+terse
formal or free
perfect potage of poetry
a chemin blanc ramble
along blackberry bramble
with buzzard on high
o'er fields prairie dry;
sunflower black,seed in the sun,
sweetcorn husks,nearly done
wild apple and pear
tempt climbers who dare;
walnut ripen in husks
as afternoon turns to dusk
Nature's early warning call
Ete's soon will be Fall
images,with or without rhyme;
a moment of life,frozen in time
