Perfect Imperfection
IMPERFECTION
Look at me
Really look at me
I'm flawed
I have scars
Bruises
Big ones too
I'm cracked no doubt
And my hair isn’t down to my shoes
I dress in not so nice ways
And i really like my food
Outside I’m flawed and not so pretty
Now look into my mind
You’ll see the same
IMPERFECTIONS
I dislike my mind so much
I overthink
I daydream
But instead its nightmares
I pour out my mind
Onto the pages of my book
Until I’m left empty
It leaves my mind aching
Aching to be filled with more words
But they come so slowly
Yet I’m always thinking
PERFECTION
Something that can never be achieved
All of us are flawed
We try so hard
To be ‘perfect’
We change
Our bodies
Our clothes
Our minds
We change to please each other
But if we are all changing together
We will never reach an end
The cycle will go on
And on
PERFECT IMPERFECTION
This is something we can achieve
We become our own perfect
We change only for us
Never for them
Realization seeps in
We see what we don’t like
And only then do we change
We dye our hair
We buy new clothes
We go on a diet
We start exercising
We better ourselves
And again
Only for us
Never for them
