Pearlescence

pearlescent, our ivory eyes met
     cascading curtain limbs concealing
irises entwined in the deep unknown
like forest roots creeping

cryptic cedarwood cologne
      fused with ravenous rose perfume
           blending in every crevice

the weeping cherry's spread-
      a bedroom of petals

nature's chandelier dimmed
      butterscotch disk slipping
as eventide crimped

rim of vermillion pressing
      upon confection skin
          deepening aegean
with intensifying connection

plumb descension of melting heat
       hastening each heartbeat
thumping to the thrum of feral beasts
arising for their woodland feast...

a barge of howling surrounding ebony
        ecstasy's reach

cherry's tang on tantalizing tongues
        hung like the moon
           ripe with enticement
gliding with pearlescence
