Peach Colored Sunrises

My heart aches for our country Everything we can be and are not People turning on each other instead We watch endless tragedies, people dead We need to unite and believe we can --- We are the people of this land --- Hatred fuels hatred, fuels violence This is living in some kind of horror movie Then, waking up to peach colored sunrises --- People are not even willing to see --- Heidi Sands 11/7/17

This is so true my friend! The best line within your poem has to be, "Hatred fuels hatred, fuels violence," that line is very true, and it's s o sad that we have so much hatred within our country...and it is encouraged by our President to some degree! I really enjoyed reading your truthful poem here this morning! What a fantastic piece, Great Work!!

Hi Russell. Thank you for your visit. Yes, there is too much division and hatred , but has been building for years. I believe each of us are responsible for contributing to it or not. A society cannot survive divided in hatred like this and that is what is hard to watch. Take care!

Thank you Vijay. That is nice to hear. Beyond all the issues going on in Govt. I believe this does come down to the people and we must unite, not be in division and hatred or it will continue to fuel violence we are witnessing. It is our choice. I appreciate your visit :)
