Passion For Nature
Although my lover’s gone, my passion has been reborn
Nature takes my breath away; flowers our gardens adorn
Wildflowers of brilliant hues were seeded by the state
Now their blossoms add beauty to the interstate
Hiking five miles to see a New Hampshire waterfall
'Neath its gentle spray on slippery rocks I did crawl
A stronger sense of patriotism seems to grow
As an eagle flies o'er amber fields of wheat below
Forests beckon too, and if you remain very still
A clan of deer might appear, giving you quite a thrill
But the ocean will transport my mind to fantasy
A seafaress dreams of creatures living in the sea
When the walls of my house close in, I just step outside
To become one with nature, it’s here I must reside
For when enclosed, it’s the beauty of nature I miss
The mountains, sea and forests provide a state of bliss
