Passage
Listen to poem:
Come down
feet gently lands on ground
cracks in pavement this I sense
Fallen dreams, walking once again, alone
spider within the pages, enhance that coordination
creaking joints
A young couple walks towards thee
Sun passes heavenly
deep scarlet tints of lilac, burnt blades of emeralds
Eye contact, I saw their insecurity
camaraderie of not knowing their place
why the disappointment?
He has walked these steps
unwittingly lightly, memory like a document
...this I see
process the corners for one to relive.
yet he feels no attachment,
whispers in the grain
fades, disconnected, sinking in mud
Allow him passage to the country
He shall sit in his rocking chair
listening to the sounds
As his soul exits thee's mouth
passing all he's touched... spirit utters...
"Do I have an option to repeat?"
We gracefully shout "That you do old man."
For thee is yet to get out from his journey
our buried wisdom on their shoulders
Their unknowing circles
