Searingly written, Richard. It raked across my heart. To have empathic ability to feel another's pain is a burden I myself could not bear. Maybe someone else could, but expressed the dilemma poignantly. Loved it. Much love to you, my friend. RW

Really well written Richard, so empathetic and sorrowful at the same time, sometimes we don't know our limits of empathy until we try, well expressed congrats on another fine win!

Hi Janice, thanks for visiting.

A stunning piece of richly layered emotions felt even deeper by the staggered form. Truly a masterful composition...begs the questions how much of "another's pain" can one absorb and what is the cost to "self". You have outdone yourself with this one. It is an absolute pleasure to read your incredibly fine work.:-) My best to you in the contest. A definite fave :-) blessings, lynn

I'm with Victor on this one, Richard. I have enough already. I suppose we don't know how good we have it until we bear anothers' cross.

Wonderful forms, Rick. Don't we all feel our pain in unbearable until we realize the depth of pain others suffer? Well wishes with this one.
