I didn’t see Him when I thought I should.
He came to me, I soon understood,
When I least expected Him to pour His love…
Over my heart, through my soul,
Into my life…
Love so beautiful and assured.
Love so amazing I could never explain it.
Love so brave that it dispelled every shame.
I didn’t see Him when I expected I might.
He came to me, so beautiful and bright,
When I least anticipated His presence….
Over my life, He poured out His light,
Beautiful love, a song inspired,
By the wonder of hope,
The song of my life…
Love so alive it feels like a fire.
Love so inspiring it feels like a life wire.
Love so mesmerizing it takes me higher and higher.
Still, I didn’t see Him in the fire.
I didn’t see Him in the excitement, stirring winds,
Everywhere I expected Him, I didn’t find Him…
I soon discovered that He was most present,
When I was still, quiet as the whisper,
Silent, like the softest prayer,
Blessed, I found Him in the very air…
When I least expected Him to appear,
There He was, pouring out His love into me…
I found Him in the graceful smile.
I found Him in a heart filled with light.
I found Him in the song’s rhythmic hope.
I found Him in the beauty of a note.
I found Him,… when I least expected Him
I found Him in the love that He pours out in me…
In the music, in the song, in the grace
That abides all the night long,
In the flowers, in the sun, in the shadows,
He’s the most wonderful thought.
In the silence, where He remembers to grow…
A faith that assures, a faith that just knows,
Love like His – it flows and it flows,
Overflowing into others, like a river, ever running,
Reminding each one, that He flows on,
Forever pouring into souls, love that never ends.
I found Him when I realized… He was always there,
Moving softly on the edge of each prayer.
