Outcast

Why does one feel outcast? Why base self-worth on the opinion of others? A great and tragic lapse in ego, irrational thought, and weak superego. An outcast allows themself to be victim, being subjugated by their perceived “tormenters”. A compliment that I have not succumbed to the societal norms of hatred, envy, jealousy, disdain, racism, and exclusion. My mind is my own and I follow my gut that tells me right from wrong. I will not comply to be liked, included, loved, or admired. So call me outcast, I wear it as a badge of valor and courage.

Congratulations, Lincds. Outcast comes with a price. A good one, You maintain your integrity. You don’t have to grovel or lick the bottoms of peoples feet. I won’t do that. Popularity based on bott licking is not for me. A great poem Huggs, Pangie xo

You betcha, dear Linda. It’s much more difficult to be a leader than a blind follower, no? I found it out here and everywhere I ever have been but I see my footprint on the world. Yes, I know. I don't put too much stock in contest placement. Even the Sponsors don't always know how multiple "winners" will be placed. Besides, I like to shake them up a bit. LOL

I admire your stand. Most of us crave for acceptance and recognition. If one can forgo such cravings, life will be more joyful. However good a person be, there can be envy and hatred. So just try to please oneself and not others. All the Best Linda....
