Our Year In Love Contest

There he was, staring at me like I was the only girl in his world,
as I slowly passed his locker that was when I realized I was allured.
Date on Friday night turned into our sweet summer romance,
and to think it all started with one intense glance.
We were finally together, in such young puppy love were we,
oh my word, did our first year in love became our tender destiny.
Hand in hand by the sea shore with gentle kisses on my cheek,
I never knew that I would find what I so longingly had seeked.
In our first three hundred sixty five days we were never apart,
for he was definitely a keeper, as I gave him my fragile heart.
Blossoming and blooming, our rose garden lost its thorns,
from then on until today we have weathered many storms.
Looking back at that first year my heart starts to patter,
as long as we were together that's all that really mattered.
Our completeness with in each other started our book of life,
for only six years later, we became a loyal man and wife.
