So, is there nothingness
when our life is done?
A black, unknown void
like the empty universe
beyond the twinkling stars?
Darkness above, beyond
the deepest, darkest dark?
Endless worthlessness,
the end of all ends;
no more you, me, us?
No...deeper we will be thrust
far beyond the beyond;
our glowing souls traveling
into God's eternal light
and everlasting life.
