Our Eyes
Our eyes may change,
They mirror the soul
They tell the truth we sometimes are too afraid to speak
Your eyes held lust,
A perverted wanting in them
They held greed and malice
They twinkled from the crack
Glimmered from the liquor
Mine held a terrifying innocence
A longing to be accepted
A thirst for love
To be acknowledged and wanted
They held the desire to exist
But you changed all that
You gave me all that I wanted
You made me feel loved, as if my existence mattered
In exchange, I quenched your perverted thirst
I sacrificed my virtue, just to exist
Because in your eyes, I was wanted and needed
I was the flame in your eyes
The time has passed
Yet your eyes still remain the same
Wild, perverted, sinister
Your soul is still the same
The same as when I idolized you
The same as when I looked up to you
The same as when I trusted you
The same as when I was too blind to see the truth
Mine have changed however
There's no innocence nor light in minde
My eyes are cold and dead
Freezing hate and tears unshed
Sorrow from betrayal
Pain from solitude
Fury from denial
And hatred from life
Our eyes, they mirror the soul
And the secrets within
While you rot in a cell with a corrupted soul intact
Mine crumbles to pieces
As this cold realization eats me away;
I was nothing more than the idiot boy who was your sex toy in your eyes
But you to me, are nothing more than the pig who opened my eyes to hatred
