Our Expectations
Why are our mums dried up and shriveled
While the neighbors are still vivid and fluffy?
Maybe the neighbors water theirs; and give them love.
We expect ours to shrivel up and die and so they do.
Green growing plants are like children.
They thrive with food, water, vitamin D and love.
They will meet our expectations the best they can
Unless we do not have any in which case they have to make their own
Children and mums, similar in many ways
Both helpless on their own
Yet they thrive with care
