Other People But Not Me

Other people get sick and can be nice. I can’t. Some people can get mad and can be nice. I can’t. Some people can be grumpy, and can get over it. I can’t. Some people do not push other people over when they cut in line. I can’t. Some people have friends. I don’t. Some people do not hit. I do. Some people make me so mad. All I want to do is hurt them. Like others hurt me.

Great poetic take on the saying "Hurt people hurt people"... That last line explained the rest- well done!

I always have to REMIND myself sternly that people do not hurt others unless they are hurting themselves.

Tit for tat, dear Caren, as the last stanza of your poem suggests, is not to your, or anyone's, benefit. Better to ignore them. No, I don't mind you using "bunnery." Anyone could have thought it up. BTW, do you know what it means in Shakespeare's Hamlet? It was a euphemism for a brothel of sorts. Thanks for stopping by. / M
