Life's legacy often leaves us vulnerable to the limits of our bodies. Willful and defiant, we fight the knowledge of our sure demise and get high on the ride. Beautiful work Brian. always, Linda

Hopefully the pandemic will go bye-bye so people can feel safe putting their masks aside and going out like this again! I think this poem conveys that wish that we all have. Good job!

Hello Jennifer, My appreciation for your stop by + comment. This piece was altered through a minor re-write. The March 2020 Seniors' Dance brought fireworks of joy, especially for a dear lady friend who uses a walker. Best wishes, Brian

Love your 'senior moment' Brian. Had lots myself, but not as poetic as this gem.

As we age I think we become more graceful and more peaceful. With age we are more knowledgeable about more things we've had time to experience, whether good or bad. I have a teenager that feels differently. I always say like fine wine and cheese we get better with age.
