Oh, I must find you ... in the moon,
Tender beams, the heart to swoon -
Wave-tops dancing with doubloon,
The warming gems of middle-June ...
Soft, dewy, sapphire tears festoon
The vines of eventide, thus strewn
In midnight magic, gone too soon,
These lullabies, I'll weep and croon ...
So I must find you there, and soon,
As years, like ripened grasses hewn,
Dictate to broken hearts, my rune ...
This aged, romantic-eyed ... buffoon.
