Only Silence
I listen for a familiar sound,
that is never very far away.
But only silence is found,
and it is deafening today.
I no longer hear the song,
music that was in my heart.
Fallen silent, after so long.
Without it, will I fall apart?
I know now that all is gone.
It happened a short time ago.
It is now more difficult to move on.
Will I hear music again...I don't know.
