Only In Spring
A hint of charm is in the air
With lilacs, daffodils... how rare,
When March whiffs her floral perfume
Leaves gleaming in elegant bloom:
The youthful star a plate of gold
As winter ends... I do behold,
How garlands in their finest hue
Explode on countryside anew:
O robins drift by as they trill
A chirp, a note warbling goodwill;
For only spring adorns new rite
With a promise of Hope's delight
