Only God Knows the Answer - Isaiah 57: 1-2

God knows the future from its beginning
His eyes see all things in His sight
nothing is hidden from our creator
who works always perfectly right

I was married in my mid-twenties
to a lovely Christian girl Jean
her witness to me really changed me
giving me a bible to make me clean

Through Jean's influence upon me
answering my questions on scripture
pointed me in the way to God
learning much along this road to endure

Jean and I wed in November '81
but Jean's health had not been good
for a number of years been a struggle
this causes thoughts so misunderstood

But things got worse needing an op
which was successful thinking all's great
but the illness came back again
leaving Jean in an unhealthy state

Jean died in October 1982
at 28 she had only a few years
God is sovereign in all He does
we must bow before Him in godly fear

("The righteous man perishes,
    and no one lays it to heart;
devout men are taken away,
    while no one understands.
For the righteous man is taken away from calamity;
     he enters into peace;
they rest in their beds
    who walk in their uprightness.")
(Isaiah 57: 1-2)

Gordon, hallelujah. So we'll articulated with Faith as the bread of communion. Jean was also fortunate for your great Love, give & take. Isaiah, written 700 years before Jesus of Nazareth was born, has a most painful chapter: 53, about Messiahs brushing & breaking & being hated still. So in Hebrews 4, we read He knows human suffering! Also psalm 22. Shalom shalom PTL

Sorry about your loss. She was faithful to lead you to salvation, so she left a very wonderful legacy. I always like faith-based works like this one. She is in a beautiful place and I know she is waiting for you to join her. Sara
