One Way Signs
One way signs where roads once were
Have lost their meaning in the flood
Vacant stares, and visions blur
And hope is but a wilting bud
The constant whir of motor boats
As people try to stay afloat
It's hard to find the words to speak
In an aftermath so bleak
They've lost more than what they own
They'll need our prayers and much more
To find their their way through the unknown
They've been shaken to their very core
