DANGEROUS LIASON
The spiral staircase made her high heels sing
Sue climbs it to meet her married lover
he’s her boss; she’s just his latest plaything
she was warned about men by her mother!
It‘s not just her job that earns her a rise
he pours champagne as she enters the room
with ‘pillow talk’ as he fondles her thighs
Sue says she’s pregnant, it fills him with doom
From here the city churches pierced the mist
Sue says, "Divorce her, there we can get wed."
she purses her ruby lips to be kissed
as they tumble onto the king size bed
His hands grip her throat; he calls her a whore
she’s insignificant, he does not care
hiding her body, he heads for the door
he closed it, and, now smiling, crossed the square
