One Misty Eyed Day
One misty eyed day, I walked away
I never saw him again
Trying to solve a case, that wasn’t mine
Brought me through the trenches
Depths of unbearable pain
All the while, watching the corrupt win again
The intricate web of lies weaved
Twisted facts, contradictions and scientific flaws
Haunt the mind, from such a tragedy
Yet the worst, watching those who taunted
Knowing who they are, as they breathe fire
As they laugh, at the same time
Gripping evil in their clutches of life
Staying free, while he is there
