One Men Battle

I’m wrestling to retain my sanity Because she makes me lose my mind I’m not sure if I’ll ever win this battle Because my opponent Is not moved by my blows Sometimes it feels like I’m in the First World War And my companions Are fighting against me Because their blows lends up on me My mind keeps fighting with my ethics My heart points me back at her How do I run away from her When running makes me so tired And weak to slay her charm My heart and my mind Keeps telling me to give in And accept she’s out of my league But I can’t because it’s not for me to decide She needs to know my battle and choose her side Perhaps one day I’ll have courage To tell her about my inner battles I hope that she surrenders to my blows Fall for my charm as I pour out my heart And announce me her heart keeper Every day I’m in the battle I’m fighting to keep my crown I mean her heart Because keeping it is the only way I can win the battle.
