One Last Night

I came to him, struggling and falling through the rain; in the dark of night feeling lost and grim, with a deep need and pain . . . I knocked on his door my clothes and hair dripping wet, and he held me in his arms whispering words of regret; we had just this night to surrender to a love duet, his kiss crushed my red lips . . . as he caressed my skin 'till I trembled in sweet bliss. _______________________ September 26, 2020 Poetry/Rhyme/One Last Night Copyright Protected, ID 20-1289-642-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the contest, The Night of Passion and Desire sponsor, Faraz Ajmal, NA
