One Last Night
I came to him,
struggling and falling through the rain;
in the dark of night feeling lost and grim,
with a deep need and pain . . .
I knocked on his door my clothes and hair dripping wet,
and he held me in his arms whispering words of regret;
we had just this night to surrender to a love duet,
his kiss crushed my red lips . . .
as he caressed my skin 'till I trembled in sweet bliss.
