One Homeless Song

Stay With every breath of my desires, Be the voice of this song of mine, I need more time to see your hands, Dive into the ridges of your fingers, And climb up the softness of your neck, I need more time to burn in the sparkle of your eyes, Kiss your lips and get drenched in that smile. So you see the sky when it is not blue, And smell the rose when it has forgotten to bloom, But don’t tell me you look for my face in the crowd, Because you look for so many others’ too. Don’t tell me you want to mend my ways Because you come close, But never close enough… Years from now, when I will Lay on an unkempt bed, In the arms of a stranger, I shall sing my broken heart to sleep, With your voice in my head, And our homeless song Lost somewhere in the wrinkles of time.
