One Diamond Star

Spreading a hue of misty light
Meandering across the plain
Painted tulips sway in beauty
With the full moon of spring
I sit from yonder fields of green
And watch the night unfold
Where inkling touch imagination
And poetry is born....

Far beyond.....
Atop Fernwood Hill
A lone Oak Tree
With gnarled branches
Reaches out
To touch
One diamond star
